Released in 1967 The Jungle Book was hailed as the most entertaining triumph in animation and for years to come its songs and characters inspired generations.
But now, the new trailer for Disney’s live-action remake has been released, and it’s The Jungle Book like you’ve never imagined.
In a world where the iconic (and fun) song The Bare Necessities is transformed into something that’s spine-chilling… prepare to be strangely frightened!
The trailer is narrated by Scarlett Johansson, who lends her voice to the films serpent villain Kaa.
“Are you alone out here? What are you doing so deep in the jungle? Don’t you know what you are?” Scarlett’s character hisses in the opening moments of the trailer .
Oscar winners Bill Muarry and Lupita Nyong’o take on the roles of Baloo and Raksha respectively.
The film is shot beautifully, with every second of the trailer blowing us away with its picturesque beauty.
The lead role of Mowgli, the little boy who is lost in the jungle is taken on by an unknown 10-year-old actor Neel Sethi, who happens to also be the only human star of the film – we suggest keeping your eye on him!
Lupita Nyong’o plays the role of Raksha in the film, while 10-year-old Neel Sethi has the lead role of Mowgli
Although remaking The Jungle Book was never going to be an easy feat, we can’t wait to see this on the big screen, although you might not want to bring your kids along.
The Jungle Book is expected to be released in April 2016.
