The Sopranos star James Gandolfini has died in Italy, aged 51.

Variety says the Emmy Award-winning actor suffered a likely heart attack while visitng Rome. TMZ reports he was die to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, TMZ reports.
Television production company HBO has also confirmed his death.
James leaves behind his wife, former model Deborah Lin, a daughter born last October and a teenage son with his ex-wife Marcy Wudarski.
Tributes to the actor have poured in on social media.
