Filmed entirely in breath-taking Victoria and based on the novel by Rosalie Ham, The Dressmaker is an epic 1950’s Aussie love story.
Kate Winslet plays the lead, Tilly Dunnage, who returns to her country home town of Dungatar after spending many years as a successful dressmaker in European high-fashion houses.
Taking on the role as the leading man and love interest is a very rugged Liam Hemsworth who plays kind-hearted Teddy.
Tilly, whose life in the country town has been racked with scandal, unexpectedly and passionately falls for Teddy while making amends with her ailing mother.
The talented seamstress also gets her sweet revenge on the people who did her wrong in the past – armed only with a sewing machine and her wicked sense of style.
Making up the incredible cast are stars like Rebecca Gibney, Judy Davis, Shane Jacobson and Barry Otto.
The comedic drama will leave you with a smile on your face while also making you seriously reassess some of your wardrobe habits.
Oh… and did we mention Liam Hemsworth is shirtless and plays AFL?
The Dressmaker hits Australian theatres on October 22.
