It’s been less than two months since One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson lost his mother, Johannah Deakin, to leukemia and now the singer has opened up about the intense pain he feels at losing his biggest fan.

“It’s not really something I feel 100 per cent comfortable talking too much about,” the 25-year-old said during an interview with SiriusXM’s Hits 1 in Hollywood.

He revealed the devastating loss made him question life and he considered giving up on his music career. However by doing so, the father of 11-month-old Freddie Reign would not being fulfilling his mother’s dying wish.

“It was my mum who said to me that I just have to keep going. She told me very sternly that she wanted me to.”

On saying goodbye to his number-one, Louis said it was heartbreaking but he’s glad he at least got to do it.

“It was tough, but it was nice for me to have a little send off for her.”

Johannah was a favourite with One Direction fans, due to her active social media presence and kindness toward the 1D community.

After her death her husband, Dan, took to her Twitter to share a message with her 1.47 million followers.

“Johannah asked for me to send this afterwards. She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing. Right from the start. You changed Louis’ life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever. So from Johannah one last time, thank you for everything xxx”
