Celebs fear sex tape leak after accounts hacked

A notorious website enticed male stars to film X-rated videos and then published them online!

Stars all calling their lawyers over news their sex tapes may be leaked to the public, after a string of films were found online.

Victims of this leak were all filmed through a Skype scam, where they participate in webcam sex which is secretly filmed without their consent. The unidentified women involved are often models and are involved in the scheme.

In a surprise twist, the celebs targeted in this scam seem to be exclusively all men, and all have come from one source: Celebrity Busted. The racy website collects and stores celebrity sex tapes, and posts them online for all to see – yikes!

Celebs allegedly included in the scandal include a high-profile ex-England international footballer, a star BBC presenter and a Hollywood actor, but no names have been released yet. An international X-rated website has already published videos featuring The Only Way Is Essex star Kirk Norcross and UK Celebrity Big Brother’s Calum Best, as well as British Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, and Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson.

But this isn’t a simple case of getting the files taken down, even though they might be illegal. Because the videos are posted from abroad, UK authorities will have to go through the complicated process of seeking legal action internationally. This long and expensive process can take years, often yielding no results for the victims.

Social media has made it all but impossible to remove scandalous and sensational content form the internet, as Kim Kardashian discovered in 2007 with the leak of her sex tape. Kim ended up with a $5 million settlement after the lawsuit, but she said in an interview with Oprah in 2012 “I felt humiliated. Imagine the conversation I had to explain it to my grandmother.”

No word yet if more tapes will be realised, but a source told newspaper The Sun “There’s a group of celebs who are panicked that there could be more to come.”
