After a thrilling and hilarious tenth season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, the winner has finally been crowned.
Skye Wheatley has been named Queen of the Jungle!
After an emotional finale, where the final three contestants were reunited with their loved ones, Australia decided that mega influencer Skye deserved to win the title in 2024.
She has won $100,000 for her chosen charity, Bully Zero, who is Australia’s leading organisation for bullying prevention.
The charity also advocates for policy and legislation change to reduce bullying and provide support, information and advice to members of the public who may be facing bullying or be family members of someone experiencing bullying.
After her win, Bully Zero took to their Instagram stories to thank Skye for choosing them to support throughout the show.
“[We] have been truly inspired by her dedication, grit, and resilience during her time in the jungle, but most of all by her kindness, compassion and a dream that matches our own, of a world free from bullying. Skye Wheatley, you have an absolute heart of gold and we are forever indebted,” the charity said.
TV host and dancer Tristan MacManus came in second place, while reality star Callum Hole came third.
Following her win, Skye told hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin: “I’m so blessed to have experienced that. I want to say thank you to everyone here for having me.”
The 30-year-old mother-of-two said the entire experience was a highlight for her.
“I feel like the whole journey, the whole experience has taught me so many things, and I just can’t wait to apply those things I’ve learned in the jungle in my everyday life.”
It was up to Australia to vote to save their fave and Skye was ultimately named the winner. Julia and Robert revealed that this season they received the highest number of votes ever in the history of the show.
Throughout the season, Skye was deemed by fans as most likely to win, and while the other celebrities began being eliminated one-by-one, we chatted to them and asked them their opinions about who they thought had what it took to go all the way.
Denise Drysdale, Khanh Ong and Stephen K Amos all told TV Week that they believed Skye would be the 2024 champion, crediting her strength, bravery and lovable personality.
Skye joins nine other celebrities who have claimed the coveted title in previous seasons.
Last year, netball legend Liz Ellis earned the crown and prior to that it was radio host Dylan Lewis who won I’m A Celebrity Australia.
