Summer Bay is thrown into lockdown when a crazed gunman escapes detention as one of Home And Away’s most gripping storylines comes to a close this week.
Among the carnage, someone will lose their life. Who will it be?
Only just managing to get his employer Stevie (Catherine Van-Davies) back on track following her stalker Sidney’s (Joshua McElroy) attempt to take her life, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is shocked to learn through his security bosses that the obsessed fan is no longer being held on remand.
Knowing full well how exposed the actress is as she continues to film All Our Tomorrows on the beach, the security guard rushes to save her once again. But will he make it in time?
Hiding in a sand dune on the beach with a gun, Sidney zeroes in on his star target, not caring about the numerous co-stars, crew and spectators who could all end up as collateral damage.
With Stevie’s life yet again in danger under Cash’s watch, Remi (Adam Rowland) is worried as the incident at the beach unfolds.
“Remi blames Cash,” Adam tells TV WEEK. “It was his job to protect Stevie. His only thoughts are if Stevie is OK.”
Shortly after, Tane (Ethan Browne), also has a terrifying encounter with Sidney while walking along the beach talking to Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) on the phone. A violent scuffle breaks out between the two men and Tane is forced to fight for his life.
Hearing the fight play out over the phone, Felicity runs to the beach to help her former love, but she ends up putting herself right in harm’s way. Will she make it in time to help Tane or will she meet a disastrous fate?
It’s been a while since we’ve seen such devastation play out in Home And Away, and with this week’s harrowing climax claiming the life of at least one main character, Summer Bay won’t be the same again.
