In an expected twist, a shiny new farmer has entered Farmer Wants A Wife 2024 – Todd.
Co-hosts Samantha Armytage and Natalie Gruzlewski quickly whisked the four remaining farmers – Dustin, Tom, Joe and Bert – away from their girls to reveal the shocking news.
“You’ll be joined by some new company,” she teased.
“Well given our success rate helping farmers find love, Sam and I have decided to raise the bar, to take it up a notch. With Dean having left, I think there’s room for one more farmer in need of a helping hand in finding love. Please welcome, Farmer Todd.”
Farmer Todd was originally one of the eight original farmers announced by Channel Seven in September 2023. However, in February 2024, it appeared he and another two farmers were cut from the reality television.
While the FWAW episode ended before fans could learn more about the newcomer, the original announcement from Seven did shed some light who Farmer Todd is.
Aged 33, Todd is a cattle farmer from Baan Baa, New South Wales.
“I’m pretty much a down to earth, hardworking, fun loving, stock standard, country bloke, who will always be there for my family and friends, whenever they need a hand, or my help,” his farmer profile read.
“I can be serious, when I need to be but when I don’t have to be, I’m always up for a good time, a good laugh and enjoy kicking back with my family and mates.”
Farmer Dean’s exit from the reality television series to confess his love to Teegan seemed to make room for another. And given the show’s success rate – nine marriages and 26 children to be exact – we expect love to blossom fast for Todd and the other four farmers.
As Farmer Joe put it plainly: “Welcome to the circus.”
