After forming an instant connection with Farmer Joe, it seemed that Susie was a frontrunner for the sheep farmerโs heart on Farmer Wants A Wife.
But during the country ball, the blonde beauty shocked viewers and left Joe feeling heartbroken and confused when she made an abrupt exit from the series after admitting that farm life wasnโt for her.
โI really did not see it coming,โ said Joe, 33. โIโve always struggled with meeting people who want to live the same way I do.โ
Susieโs shock departure has left Joe rattled and questioning whether he can trust his remaining ladies.
โIโm just hoping that everyone here is being truthful with me,โ he says. โThe farm is an extension of me, itโs my lifeโฆ I need a person to be open and honest about what they want and their intentions with me.โ

SHOCKING ALLEGATIONS
But just when Joe thought the worst was over, his off-screen life has come under scrutiny.
Women who claim to have dated the wholesome farmer before he was confirmed to appear on Farmer Wants A Wife, recently shared details of their relationships with the So Dramatic! podcast.
Naming themselves only as Kat and Maddy, the women both claimed to have previously dated Joe and spoke about being โblindsidedโ when he announced he was thinking about going on the reality show.
Kat alleges she dated Joe last year for several months โ not long before Maddy claims to also have been in a relationship with him.
Maddy further claims that Joe ended things on July 24, telling her he was joining the show. Seven then announced the line-up of potential farmers the following day.
Maddy also alleges Joe said he wasnโt looking for anything serious, adding he was going on the show โfor a bit of funโ.

HITTING BACK
To add insult to injury, Farmer Joe has had to defend claims that he is a โfake farmerโ.
โThis Joe Blow isnโt even a farmerโฆ heโs a FIFO [fly-in-fly-out] worker living on his parents farm,โ one Farmer viewer wrote on social media.
However, Joe has hit back, insisting he is a โpart-ownerโ alongside his mother.
โI grew up here [in Bombala, NSW], Iโm a part-owner alongside my mum and my dad, which is not uncommon for any sort of younger person,โ he told Yahoo.
โIโve bought into the farm, Iโve bought my dad out, and I pay lease to my mum โ I havenโt inherited anything.โ
As for claims he is a fly-in, fly-out worker, Joe revealed that like many farmers, he does do some occasional construction work for a second income.
โEveryone tries to make it out like you canโt be a real farmer if you have a second income,โ he says. โI donโt understand that.โ
Despite all the drama, fans are smitten with Joe and say he has a hunky celebrity lookalike.
โLooks a bit like a young Hugh Jackman,โ a fan gushed after he showed off his abs on a boating date. Now if thatโs not a compliment to get a farmer through a rough week, we donโt know what is!
