According to the synopsis, the mystery-thriller film “is an emotionally turbulent story that follows American social psychologist Ben Monroe who is investigating a local Berlin cult connected to disturbing events.

“While he immerses himself in his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy, becomes embroiled with a mysterious local boy who introduces her to the city’s underground party scene.

“As their two worlds head toward a dangerous intersection, Ben will need to race against the clock in order to save his daughter.”

A Sacrifice is inspired by Tokyo Nobody, a 2015 novel by Nicholas Hogg.

Eric Bana and Sadie Sink lead the cast alongside Sylvia Hoeks, Jonas Dassler, Sophie Rois, Lara Feith, and Stephan Kampwirth.

Directed by Jordan Scott – the daughter of renowned director Ridley Scott – A Sacrifice is a gripping and intense film set to have you on the edge of your seat.

A Sacrifice is Eric’s latest film, following his lead role in Force of Nature: The Dry 2 which came out in early 2024.

The actor is no stranger to big Hollywood films, having appeared in numerous big-name blockbusters such as Hulk, Troy, and Black Hawk Down – to name a few.

He’s also stayed true to his Australian roots, appearing in a number of locally-based films, namely The Dry and its sequel.

Meanwhile, Sadie Sink, 22, is of course most well-known for her role in Stranger Things, as well as The Whale, and Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: A Short Film.
