New series Dream Home has a new dream couple – and they’ve revealed exclusively to Woman’s Day that they’re engaged!
Elle, 29, and her now-fiance, Brody, 33, purchased their Watsonia North, Victoria house in 2022, and fans of the series will recognise Elle and her big sister Taeler as contestants on the show.
Elle said she was “shocked” by the big proposal, which took place at a romantic picnic. “He did the ultimate sneak proposal on his birthday, so I didn’t suspect a thing when we had a beautiful day planned together,” she says.
And the couple have wasted no time moving forward with their engagement, with Elle admitting, “As soon as that ring was on my finger, I was looking at venues!”
Brody designed the sparkler himself, with Elle adding, “He knows I don’t wear much jewellery and am so difficult to buy for. He took that challenge on and designed me a stunning curved band ring with elegant mismatched shaped diamonds across it.”
DREAM HOME, DREAM FUTURE
In Seven’s latest show, hosted by Dr Chris Brown, everyday Aussies compete to transform each other’s renovation projects into dream homes.
On Sunday night, the judges walked through Elle’s home in Watsonia, where they took in the big transformation, and on Monday night, the dream home will be unveiled to Elle and her sister.
“Post filming the show, we have been able to have Taeler’s kids – our niece and nephew – over for sleepovers. Seeing how much they love our home, jumping in the bath, running nude down the hallway, and playing with all the fun light switches and gadgets… gets me almost desperate to have kids and start a family of our own here,” Elle admits.
Elle and Brody have been together for five years, after meeting on a dating app, and they couldn’t be happier with their newly renovated home.
Elle says, “Thanks to Dream Home, the contestants and the tradies, we can think about our future with nothing but excitement. It means more than I can put into words because it is truly an indescribable feeling.”
Brody adds, “All I want to do is marry Elle and start a family in our new home. It means the world to us, and I’m really grateful.”
