The new clip takes us right back to good old days of Rory, played by Alexis Bledel and Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham, sitting around a kitchen table with a cup of tea and Pop-Tarts, speed-talking about the important things in life.

“Do you think Amy Schumer would like me?” Lorelai asks her daughter, seemingly out of nowhere.

When Rory predictably replies with a flat “no”, the young-at-heart mother quips back, “Why? It’s not like I’m perpetually armed, or at sundown I turn into one of those vampires with no sense of humour, or I have that plant strapped to me that blooms every year and smells disgusting.”

The Gilmore Girls have the Amy Schumer tick of approval!

After some familiar bickering, the two finally come to the conclusion that the comedian would not get along with Lorelai due to their opposing opinions on water sports – which Rory assumes is a passion of Amy’s as she’s always pictured indulging in some water-related adventure while she’s on holidays.

“Oh no… that would not work at all,” the defeated mum agreed, shuddering at the thought of a jet ski.

And it didn’t take long for Amy to weigh in!

Settling the debate once and for all, the 35-year-old wrote on Twitter, “I would love her!”

“I’ve only done 2 water sports, and they took pictures of it both times. I promise I usually just lay there (sex too),” the Trainwreck actress joked.

We couldn’t be more excited to catch up with these Stars Hollow locals!

Cast members to join Rory and Lorelai in the four-part reboot include Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy), Paris Geller (Liza Weil), Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) Christopher Hayden (David Sutcliffe) and Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), who’s now a widower.
