The Voice’s Dallas defends partner’s breastfeeding backstage

The Voice contestant Dallas James may have wowed the judges during his blind audition last night, but what was going on offstage that has everybody talking.

While the 34-year-old from Byron Bay was wrapping up his stellar performance of Sam Cooke’s Bring It On Home To Me, the camera’s quickly crossed backstage to his proud partner, Ingrid, who appeared to be breastfeeding the couple’s young son, Tashi.

Since the footage went to air, the aspiring singer-songwriter has come out and defended his partner’s decision to feed their child, saying he supports all women who want to breastfeed in public.

“It was Ingrid’s decision to do that in the moment and I support her,” Dallas toldnews.com.au.

“I support all women who want to breastfeed in public. It’s their choice,” Dallas added.
