The Voice Kids got underway last night and it didn’t disappoint!

While superstar coaches Mel B, Delta Goodrem and the Madden Brothers took to the big red chairs, it was all the action on stage which had everyone at home on the edge of their seats.

While each emerging young star put on a stunning performance, some managed to win over the judges and the audience with their own renditions of their favourite hits.

Going off last night’s mind-blowing talent,  the competition is set to unearth Australia’s most outstanding young musical stars, and we can’t wait!

See a recap of last night’s performances here!

Abigail Age: 9 State: NSW Audition: With a love for performing, young Abigail blew all four judges away when she sung the Alicia Keys hit ‘Empire State of Mind’ during her blind audition. The aspiring sing and dance teacher joined team Mel last night despite having Delta and the Madden Brothers also turn their chairs during her stella performance. Abigail says her biggest fan is her grandfather, who just happened to be in the audience when she performed.

Bella Age: 12 State: VIC Audition: Her powerful performance of Jennifer Hudson’s ‘And I’m Telling You’ was a real show stopper. Of Macedonian decent, the talented songstress is now part of Team Madden Brothers and she’s super excited about it. Described by her mother as a “walking Ipod” we can’t wait to see Bella’s next killer performance.

Chris Age: 13 State: NSW Audition: Meet the young teenager who will no doubt break many girls’ hearts with his amazing voice and charm. Chris, a weekend busker and guitar player also joined team Madden Brothers last night despite Mel and Delta also turning their chairs for the little spunk. Singing Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A Team’ the crowd went crazy for Chris.

Jasmine Age: 10 State: NSW Audition: Jasmine wowed the judges with her rendition of ‘Its Oh So Quiet’ by Bjork. Not only did this little pocket turn the chair of Delta, but she also had the Madden Brothers spinning around. Jasmine says she plans to use her experience on The Voice Kids to create awareness of Leigh’s disease after her five-year-old sister Mielle was diagnosed with the incurable condition. Jasmine now joins team Delta on her search for superstardom.

Maddison Age: 13 State: QLD Audition: Performing her very own version of ‘At Last’ by Etta James, Maddison has superstar written all over her. The opera singer, who auditioned for The Voice Kids in memory of her late grandmother, blew Mel B away with her extraordinary voice and now joins her team. Maddison says her Nana Sandy always encouraged her to follow her dreams, and that’s exactly what she’s doing!

Molly S Age: 9 State: NSW Audition: Molly’s musical talents stem from her mum and dad. Looking super cute in her polka dot dress, Molly performed ‘Am I Not Pretty Enough by Kasey Chambers. The Madden Brothers and Mel all turned their chairs for the adorable singer but it in the end it was Mel who went home with the prize. Although Molly found it hard at first to get up on stage, she now has no problem with being in the spotlight.

Robbie Age: 13 State: WA Audition: A natural performer with a unique voice, Robbie performed ‘Hey Soul Sister’ by train for his blind audition. Originally from Scotland, the budding songwriter was thrilled to join team Delta last night despite also capturing the attention of Mel B.
