Despite reports that the pressure of competing on a reality TV show and keeping up appearances has put a massive strain on their relationship, the married couple from Western Sydney are proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Delivering a world-class and industrial-style bathroom, the video editor and her cabinet maker hubby, managed to blow the judges away with what they delivered this week.
Not only was their design creative, fresh, contemporary and original but it was functional, attractive and very much on-trend.

“This is a million dollar bathroom,” Judge Neale Whitaker said.

Chris and Jenna were scored perfect ten’s from all three expert judges for their world class, industrial-style bathroom. “This is a million dollar bathroom,” Neale said.
Meanwhile, Shaynna said the couple had created “the best shower in the whole wide world,” and Darren was simply blown away.
Darren and Deanne
On entering Darren and Deanne’s contemporary and sophisticated bathroom, judge Darren Palmer was very impressed. The duo’s emphasis on a sleek, streamlined look, and a minimalist design was a real judge pleaser. “I love this bathroom,” he said. Of their modern decorating, Neale said: “It’s beautiful and it’s completely different to anything we’ve ever seen on the Block.” Score: 28/30
Karstan and Max
The couple from Newcastle delivered a stylish and timeless bathroom of grand proportions. “I have never seen anything on this scale. It’s is magnificent,” Neale said as he entered. Featuring a sleek, simple and clean cut design, Neale particularly loved the couple’s sophisticated styling. And their contemporary storage and range of bathroom accessories really impressed all three judges. Score: 26/30
Michael and Carlene
The pair delivered a sophisticated bathroom that ticked all the boxes, according to Neale. As part of their sleek and stylish room, the married couple wowed the judges with their great style and design concepts. The steps leading up to the shower and sunken in bath was the perfect addition to their modern bathroom design. “It’s got a real sense of theatre about it,” Neale said. “It’s incredible,” Shaynna added. Score: 24/30
Shannon and Simon
Judge Shaynna Blaze absolutely loved the natural and earthy look and style of bathroom the boy’s created. Not only does it feature a stunning timber vanity with in-built white sinks, but also under-floor heating. Meanwhile, Neale really liked their choice of tiles on the floor and said it was “unusual.” “At the end of the day, this is a good bathroom and in the second week of the competition it is still incredible that they’ve delivered to this level,” he said. Score: 23/30
