Former Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has landed his next big Hollywood role alongside Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke.

Summer Bay hottie Steve will join the cast of Me Before You which also stars Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke aka Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen as well asThe Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin.

It’s been a big year for Steve, 33. In January it was revealed that he had tied the knot with fellow Summer Bay star Bridgette Sneddon, 28 .

Together the pair have packed up and relocated Stateside so that Steve could pursue his Hollywood film career as he farewelled Summer Bay for good.

It didn’t take long for Steve to start landing the juicy roles either, after a small role in last year’s blockbuster Hercules alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Steve then landed his first big role alongside fellow Aussie Margot Robbie.

That movie, titled Fun House, stars 30 Rock funny lady Tina Fey in the lead role as a journalist and self-confessed adrenaline junkie while Steve played the role of her alpha-male Kiwi bodyguard who has a crush on her.

Steve’s new movie, Me Before You, is based on a novel of the same name by Jojo Moyes and Variety reports that the story revolves around a small-town girl who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralysed man that she’s taking care of. Steve reportedly plays the paralysed man’s personal caretaker.

Steve is following in the footstep of several other former Home and Away stars to hit the big time, not least Chris Hemsworth, who was recently named the sexiest man alive after his buff role in Thor, as well as one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors .

Is there a similar fate awaiting this Home and Away alumni? We’ll have to wait and see!
