The 34-year-old mum-of-two returned to work for the first time since giving birth to her daughter Evie three months ago and shared some adorable snaps of her precious girl.
“As part of the contract you have to supply photos of Evie so here are a couple of snaps from your phone,” co-host, Peter Helliar said as photos of the baby flashed on screen.
As the audience cooed at the bub, Carrie quipped: “It’s probably not good to show me that, my boobs are going to start leaking soon!”
Ahead of Monday’s show the Adelaide local posted a snap with fellow hosts Peter and Waleed Aly and wrote: “Loving the new digs! See you back on The Project in 5 mins!!”
Returning to her “work family” after welcoming her child with partner Chris Walker in March, the 34-year-old revealed she was filled with mixed-emotion.
“I think any mum going back to work will tell you that there is a little pit in your stomach that does feel torn. I’m so excited about going back to work but I’ve absolutely loved being home with Evie,” she told News.com.au.
The popular TV personality has shared many of her personal journeys with the nation; one of her most emotional tales was her gripping Gold Logie speech where she helped raise awareness about brain cancer.
Donning a blue beanie, she passionately spoke about the devastating effects of the deadly disease which claimed her late husband, Greg Lange’s life in December 2010.
Carrie was touched by the nation’s support, admitting now that she’s started the conversation, she “wants to get her hands dirty and create some change.”
We couldn’t be happier to have one of Australia’s favourite personalities back in our living rooms!
