The brunette beauty will be working alongside series host and judge, Jennifer Hawkins and season veteran and fashion designer, Alex Perry.
Born and raised on Australia’s west coast, Megan is one of the country’s most illustrious models and business women, having worked with many established companies – both national and global – such as L’Oreal Paris, Marie Claire, David Jones, GQ magazine and Italian Maxim.
On the appointment of her new position, the 40-year-old model said: “I’ve loved working on the show in a guest capacity over the years and to now join the series as a permanent judge is both an honour and a privilege. I look forward to working with the girls and sharing some of my own experiences about what it takes to be a successful working model.”
“The industry can be ruthless and fickle at times, so along with the right look you need incredible drive, thick skin and a good business head to survive.”
The news of Megan’s new appointment comes almost exactly two years after previous judge and personal friend to the model was tragically found dead in her Woolloomooloo residence after a suicidal overdose.
But although the new mother will be taking her friend’s spot in the judging panel, she by no means believes her new role to be a replacement.
Speaking of Charlotte’s legacy, Megan said: “She was a wonderful, wonderful woman who just left such a unique mark and brought so much to the show and she really did genuinely care about the girls.”
“I don’t see it as replacing Charlotte. I don’t think she can be replaced. To say I am replacing her doesn’t honour her. She is irreplaceable.”
“It’s just not possible to replace Charlotte Dawson but I hope to bring my own brand of guidance and wisdom to the girls.”
The 10th season of Australia’s Next Top Model will air later this year on Fox 8.
