They certainly weren’t a match made in heaven, and now former Married at First Sight star Clare Verrall is looking to move on by getting rid of every last reminder of her time spent on season two of the reality show.
The 32-year-old has listed her wedding dress for auction on eBay, with a rather bitter description of her experimental “marriage.”
“Stunning Designer Wedding Dress As Seen On Married At First Sight Season Two,” the headline reads.
“This is an absolutely stunning dress, perfect for a fairytale wedding – (For a bride who knows the name of who she is marrying!) Super flattering, so even if you are not what the groom ‘ordered’ you will still get loads of complements & made to feel like a total princess!” She wrote.
“Worn for one day while marring a stranger who turned out to be a total wankpuffin.”
The proceeds made from selling the Judith Valente designer dress, listed for $1,800, will be put towards her French bulldog, Jolie, who is in desperate need of veterinary surgery.
“It’s such a beautiful designer dress and it’s such a waste for it to be just sitting in my closet.
“I don’t have much money tucked away and she needs heaps of surgery… basically so she can breathe,” Clare told news.com.au.
WATCH: Clare’s powerful message to women everywhere after her random attack.
Earlier this month, the blonde beauty called out the controversial show’s producers for creating “manufactured drama” rather than love stories.
Speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show, she explained her disappointment of being matched with hot-headed Jono by the relationship experts, despite her suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to an earlier random attack.
“Some of these couples were legitimately put together for love, but some of it is just for drama.
“I was unlucky enough to be the drama couple last year,” she said sarcastically.
While Clare applied for the show in the hopes of finding true love, she revealed that her groom Jono, a man with a history of violence, never even applied, but was allegedly scouted by producers.
“In my situation Jono, who was my husband, or fake husband – he didn’t apply,” she says. “He had a friend who worked at the network who knew that he had a very hot head and would blow up and make great TV.”
Eight months before the show began filming, the Melbourne local was randomly attacked while walking her dog.
Clare was still recovering from the attack when her wedding to Jono was filmed.
“I was recovering from PTSD and I was very open with them about that. So they then matched me with someone who has anger problems because they thought that would make great TV.”
During last week’s finale of season three of MAFS, Clare took to Twitter to lift the lid on the series.
“EVERYONE, there is no 3 month catch up as they all broke up within weeks. Many of them have new partners now & can’t wait to move on,” she fumed.
“Crew told us at our catch ups as this season was filmed straight after ours. They said it was a s–t show.”
“The ‘experts’ don’t make the matches, the executive producer does. There is no psychology behind these matches at all,” Clare raged.
