Young lovebirds Chardai Page and Ross Burman received the wedding gift of all wedding gifts last year when their big day was chosen to feature on reality cooking show My Kitchen Rules!

The pair married in November, but their TV debut had to be kept a big secret – until now.

The wedding proved the toughest challenge yet for all the MKR teams, who were tasked with catering for Chardai and Ross’s 90 guests at the pair’s vintage-themed wedding. But they rose to the occasion!

Surrounded by acres of architect-designed gardens, fountains and ponds, the amateur cooks served up a spectacular three-course modern Australian dining experience.

For the entree, guests chose between a confit of ocean trout with whipped caviar and ginger broth; duck breast with beetroot, cherry and chocolate; or chicken liver parfait with raisin puree and fennel lavosh.

“It’s beautiful,” one guest said of Ash and Camilla’s trout dish.

“Cooked to perfection,” said another.

It wasn’t the case for Will and Steve’s chicken liver parfait, with one guest overheard saying, “I’m not a fan. It’s very strong.”

Drasko and Bianca’s dish was a hit with the bride though, who beamed, “The duck’s great! It’s really nice.”

For the main, teams served up butter-poached eye fillet with cauliflower puree and mushroom sauce; pork fillet with orange and fennel slaw and potato rosti; or dukkah-crusted lamb with sweet pumpkin puree and mint yoghurt.

Finally for dessert, guests were treated to white chocolate custard with mixed berry compote and macadamia crumb; ricotta cheesecake with raspberry and blood orange; or a citrus celebration.

Set in the pristine grounds of the historic Burnham Grove – a five-star venue in Cawdor, NSW – the relaxed, summery outdoor wedding was perfectly styled with peacock chairs, a rustic grazing table and native floral designs.

Chardai, a former chef, looked stunning in a tea-length couture vintage gown.

“The best day,” she captioned a snap on Instagram. “It was a warm one.”

Ross also shared a stunning snap of their big day, with friends commenting , “Lovely pictures,” and “Have a wonderful married life.”
