The actress sat down with Yahoo Style’s Joe Zee and admitted it’s unlikely Dawson’s Creek will have a reunion.
“I don’t know, does it work today?” she told Joe. “I don’t want them to grow up. You know, it’s kind of like your parents – they never get out of their fifties, that’s where they are.”
Despite not reuniting for the silver screen the cast, which is made up of James Van Der Beek’s Dawson Leery, Michelle Williams’ Jen Lindley, Joshua Jackson’s Pacey Witter and Kerr Smith’s Jack McPhee, are still all good friends after working together for six season before the show wrapped in 2003.
Looking back on her time on the show, Katie revealed that everybody enjoyed working on the hugely popular series. “It was of a certain time. It was pre-Internet. There was an innocence there,” she fondly reflected.
But now the 36-year-old is stripping away her Joey Potter image for her long-awaited return to TV in Ray Donovan. Already a fan of the show, Suri’s mum has had a “wonderful experience” playing such a unique role.
“My character is a challenge for me because she’s a bit of a femme fatale. She’s very strong, she’s very complicated,” she explained.
We are stoked for Katie Holme’s new role, but in the words of Dawson: “If we weren’t so afraid to let go, we wouldn’t feel so free when we finally did.” Sob. Cue the re-runs.
