Guy rocked it out with his back up singers!
Guy, who feared coming last, was simply amazing as he performed his new hit Tonight Again, which he casually whipped up, and created in 72 hours especially for the competition.
The 33-year-old performed 12th of the 27 entrants in the grand final, and it was clear the X-Factor judge was well received.
The crowd gave went wild with applause after he sang his heart out with his pop tune.
Eurovision host and connoisseur, Julia Zemiro was especially proud of Guyโs achievement.
โTop five is an incredible result for Australia, considering we come from zero,โ she said, speaking backstage after the show. โItโs not as if we have any history in the show.
โWith Sweden, itโs a song that had this incredible theatrical background,โ she added. โGreat song, great staging and you could also dance to it.โ
While no word whether this is the last time weโll have an entrant in the competition, we couldnโt be prouder of our supreme Aussie Idol!
