It appears that all those cockroaches, crocodile spleens and sheep’s brains have been working a treat when it comes to the jungle cuisine.

The contestants are currently living off the staple diet of rice and beans, which all up equates to about 800 calories per day, so it comes as no surprise that the adjustments made to their diet and lifestyle have resulted in the entire camp losing a total of 48.5 kgs.

The figures were revealed on Thursday night’s episode, when the team had to guess who had lost the most weight in a hilarious challenge.

Rugby legend Paul Harragon has shed the most weight at 10.8 kgs, which represents a total of 9.7 percent of his previous weight.

Ex-cricketer Shane Warne came in at a close second with a loss of 9.3 kgs or 9.67 percent of his former weight.

“I put on a stone before I come in here because I knew I wouldn’t eat much but I’ve lost a bit more than that.”

“I’ve lost a few extra kilos than I put on before the show and I’ve probably lost a little bit of muscle as well so a few more kilos won’t hurt and hopefully I’ll get back into the push ups and things and I’ll be okay,” the spin master explained said of his new body.

And coming in at third place was AFL star Brendan Fevola, who lost a whopping 10.2 kgs or 8.48 percent of his pre-show weight.

“People were pretty rapt with what they’d lost but I was hoping to lose a little bit more because I have more to lose,” said Brendan on his achievements.
