After previously hosting Ten’s Can of Worms, the mum-of-three is a potential candidate to host the network’s new show,The Great Australian Spelling Bee.

The new show set to hit our screens in the second half of the year will pit the country’s most remarkable young spellers against one another.

Sources have revealed that the much-loved Chrissie just might swan in as a potential host – and we couldn’t be more excited!

Other potential candidates include Family Feud host, Grant Denyer, who recently revealed that he was in talks with the network prime time hosting projects.

The TV personality is a hit with viewers, having already snagged a Logie nomination for Most Popular Presenter.

Also in the running to host the spelling extravaganza is new-mum-to-Evie,The Project’s Carrie Bickmore. The experienced-journalist would be a hit with the kids and viewers alike, with a Gold Logie nomination under her belt and having already hosted So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

The Great Australian Spelling Beewill be a welcomed return, especially after the success of Ten’s 2007 show,Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?
