The Australian men’s basketball squad for the Olympics featured a mix of fresh faces and legends.

Patty Mills and Joe Ingles lead the pack, with both players attending their fifth Olympics.

Ahead of the Olympics, Mills said he believed the Boomers had what it takes to win gold this time around, and speaking on this year’s team, the captain said, “It’s clear to us that our goal is to be the team that’s standing on top of the podium, and for us to be unapologetic about that in our process.”

He added, “Our goal is to be able to be true to who we are as Aussies, that blue collar, most physical team. The mateship that we have, being the most connected team.”
