Princes William and Harry have reportedly scored roles in the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Daily Mail reports the royal brothers secretly filmed cameo performances during their visit to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire last week.
“The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set. What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to ‘get suited’ and off they went to the wardrobe department,” an insider said.
“The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base. The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry.”
We certainly hope these rumours are true!
William and Harry were the envy of Star Wars fans everywhere last week when they got to tour the Star Wars set and even partake in a real life lightsaber duel.
The royal brothers – both huge fans of the sci-fi franchise – engaged in an animated mock fight using the famous swords, and were visibly thrilled by the experience.
Harry also got up close and person with Chewbacca, while both brothers played with C-3PO and met the original Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill.
William confessed he was a “geek” when it came to Star Wars and one look at his delighted face during the tour was enough to convince us he was telling the truth!
The royals have been busy this month, with William, Kate and Harry hosting US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.
As usual, however, it was little Prince George who stole the show when pictures of him emerged meeting the presidential couple in his adorable white dressing gown.
