In light of the 2024 Met Gala taking place in New York, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has revealed she “decided to sit this one out”.
The 41-year-old has attended the prestigious event numerous times, but this year she is staying home with her newborn son.
“Happy Met Gala Monday! Decided to sit this one out with our newborn 💕👼💕 Can’t wait to see all of the beautiful looks tonight!,” Miranda shared via Instagram alongside a photo of her and husband Evan Spiegel attending the Met Gala together in 2022.
The former Victoria’s Secret angel recently welcomed her fourth son, Pierre, in early 2024. She shares three boys with Snapchat founder Evan and one boy with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
Her first child, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, was born on 6 January 2011.
Her next three children with Evan: Hart, Myles and Pierre, arrived in 2018, 2019 and then 2024.
Miranda has attended the Met Gala eight times over the past 15 years, and has become one of the celebrities people look out for most on the red carpet.
The KORA Organics founder most recently attended in 2023 where the theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Karl Lagerfeld was one of Chanel’s most notorious designers and the theme honoured him following his passing.
Miranda has worked with Chanel countless times, walking on their runways and wearing their products, so it was unsurprising to see her at the event that honoured Karl’s legacy.
Prior to that, Miranda and her husband Evan walked the Met steps together in 2022 where she looked like a real-life princess in Bulgari and Oscar de la Renta.
The 41-year-old made her Met Gala debut in 2009, and continued to attend the event again in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
No matter what she wears, whether that be to the Met or on any other red carpet, Miranda Kerr always embodies class and elegance.
