There’s no denying Prince Christian of Denmark has inherited some of his parents’ best genes, but who does the handsome teen royal most resemble?
For years royal watchers have insisted he looks just like his father, Crown Prince Frederik, especially now that the 16-year-old is growing into a young man.
But another vocal group of fans, many of them Australian, feel he more closely resembles his Tasmanian-born mother Crown Princess Mary.
The similarities between Christian and his mother are most obvious when he smiles, as he’s inherited her winning grin.
But it turns out there’s another unlikely royal relative the Danish prince also bears a remarkable resemblance to.
Keep scrolling to see which of his royal relatives Prince Christian looks most like.
Christian looked so much like his dad as a child – just look at those bright blue eyes! Thankfully Christian had a more forgiving haircut.
But there was a touch of Mary about him too – just look at these side-by-side snaps.
At 15, it was clear Christian had inherited some of his mum’s features including her nose and mouth.
They even have similar smiles.
The Danish royal also resembles his grandfather, Henrik, Prince Consort of Denmark – just look at this photo of him holding Christian’s dad Frederik as a child.
The similarities are undeniable in older photos of Henrik looking regal.
Now 16, Christian still looks an awful lot like Frederik as a teen, though mum Mary’s features are obvious in his face too.
The Danish royals released this photo of Christian for his 16th birthday and he looked just like his dad Frederik in his 20s.
At his confirmation in 2021 fans were divided over which of his parents he most resembled.
The family resemblance between Christian and his parents – as well as his three siblings – is even more obvious when they all step out together.
