It’s been a tense few days for the Duke of Cambridge, but he couldn’t help smiling last night as he confirmed Kate was “feeling better”.
William emerged from London’s King Edward VII hospital looking extremely relieved after spending a second day by his wife’s bedside.

St James’s Palace later released a statement thanking the public for their support and prayers for William and Kate.
“The Duchess of Cambridge is continuing to feel better. She and the Duke are immensely grateful for the good wishes they have received,” the statement read.
“She will remain in hospital at present and will continue to be treated for hyperemesis gravidarum.”
Kate has been on a drip in hospital for two days. She was staying at her parent’s home in Berkshire when she fell ill with severe morning sickness, and William drove her to hospital.
Once there, she was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare complication of pregnancy that affects less than two percent of pregnant women.

Symptoms include constant nausea and the inability to keep any food or water down. Sufferers have been known to lose up to ten percent of their body weight, and the sickness can continue throughout the pregnancy, and even for several weeks after the birth.
