The mum-of-four arrived on crutches at London’s exclusive Oswald’s club with husband David, who turns 49 this week, and their children, Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, 12, but didn’t let her injury get in the way of having a good time.

The singer-turned-fashion designer even got up to perform Stop with her Spice Girl bandmates – Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Brown – in front of 100 of her closest friends, including actresses Eva Longoria and Salma Hayek, super chef Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana, action star Jason Statham and fiancee Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony and his new wife Nadia Ferreira.

“Victoria had the best night ever,” says a longtime friend. “The only downside was poor Brooklyn, who couldn’t stop worrying about [his wife] Nicola back home with her sick gran, but everyone had a great time.

“The speeches were hilarious. David’s roasting was the best, of course, but she took it all on the chin. It was an epic party, from her ‘F**k I’m fifty’ T-shirts to the fact that Tom Cruise actually spoke to everyone – guests, waiters, even bathroom attendants – so it was an unforgettable night for all, not just Victoria.”

As Posh said herself, “I don’t think I’ve ever felt as loved as I did last night. Thank you all for coming from near and so far!!”
