She’s outspoken and over-the-top on Yummy Mummies, but Maria DiGeronimo admits motherhood has changed her for the better.
“This is such a life-changing experience,” Maria tells TV WEEK.
In fact, the 31-year-old is already saying she wants to add to her brood.
“I’d love to have more children in the future,” Maria explains, adding she and hubby Carlos hope to adopt.
“We’ve thought more about adopting to be able to give a less fortunate child the opportunity of a better life.”
And she has the support of her family behind her.
“My family have been very supportive and Carlos is happy and proud,” Maria says. “I just want the best for my family and I want to give them all the light and happiness in the world.”
While Maria loves being pregnant, one thing she won’t miss the second time around are the food cravings.
“All I did was eat,” she laughs. “I already love hot chips, but during pregnancy I had to have my fix of hot chips every day.”
Despite what her fellow Yummy Mummies think, Maria says she was made to be a mother.
“I trust my motherly instincts,” she says.
Maria is quite outspoken on the series and has received some backlash on social media since the show has aired. However, she’s not letting the negativity get to her.
“I take on board the good advice, and politely ignore the bad,” Maria admits. “I never feel pressured by others’ opinions or expectations.”
