We’re just days into the controversial new series Yummy Mummies, and mum-to-be Lorinska Merrington is already planning her own reality TV show.
“Keeping Up With The Merringtons, stay tuned,” she teases, adding this isn’t her and her hubby’s, former Carlton AFL player Andrew Merrington, first brush with fame.
“Andrew was asked to be on a cooking show and we really sucked bad.”
But that’s not the couple’s only experience with seeing their name up in lights.
“Andrew had his fame while playing for Carlton, and modelling and TV presenting has had me in the limelight,” Lorinksa, 32, boasts, adding she’s aware there’ll be people out there judging her.
“People will either love me or hate me, I don’t think I’ll have anything in between,” Lorinska says.
“We are all doing motherhood in our own way because we are so incredibly different and that’s okay. The one thing we all have in common is we are all becoming mothers and will love our children beyond words. I can’t wait for people to see my story,” she says.
“It [being judged] is a possibility. But I’m positive, and focusing on the good things is my priority.”
Helping Lorinska do that is husband Andrew.
“I count my lucky stars I have him,” she gushes. “He’s my number-one fan and has been such a supportive role model from day one.”
