The Bachelorette 2017 finale is only a week away, and while we’re still tossing up over which of Sophie Monk’s suitors will score the final rose, contender Jarrod Woodgate would have us believe that it’s clear as day who should win – him.
Besides, they’ve got nearly everything in common…
THE MARILYN MONROE CONNECTION
Last week viewers were rocked by claims that Jarrod was a cross dresser, and now the vineyard manager has come clean on the matter.
“I actually found that all quite hilarious… the cross-dressing was about five years ago, maybe a lot longer, when we had a dress-up party. My mates went as the Spice Girls and I dressed up as Marilyn Monroe,’ the 32-year-old tells OK!.
The fact that Sophie started off her career as a Marilyn impersonator at Warner Bros Movie World wasn’t a coincidence lost on the eager contender, either.
“It’s just another thing we have in common. We spoke about it, although I think Sophie pulls off a better Marilyn – I don’t think I’d get a job at Movie World,” he chuckles.
THEY BOTH WANT TO GO TO MEXICO
Before heading off on her recent trip to Thailand, Sophie was determined to hit up Mexico.
A week later, Jarrod was spotted out and about clutching a travel brochure for, you guessed it, Mexico!
Post continues after video
“The reason that I wanted to go to Mexico was that there was a sound guy on the show that was telling me all about it,” explains Jarrod.
He’s still planning on going to the Central American hotspot. Only question is: will Sophie be by his side?
“I’ll be going there in December/early Jan,” he reveals.
THE SMOKING BACKFLIP
“I hate cigarettes,” Jarrod confessed before appearing on The Bachelorette. But recent snaps of the Victorian out and about holding a packet of ciggies suggests he might have changed his mind.
And with Soph a not-so-secret smoker, it’s caused fans to wonder why he’s picked up the habit.
THEY HAVE A SHARED PASSION FOR WINE
Clearly, the fact that Jarrod is a vineyard manager and Sophie is a fan of wine means they are meant to be, right? Jarrod thinks so!
“I would love Sophie to come and live the vineyard life with me – I think it would be beautiful. She has a passion for wine – drinking, not making it though… it would be perfect.”
THEY’VE GOT IDENTICAL THOUGHTS ON KIDS
“We’ve decided we want a boy and a girl… but no names, we haven’t come down to that yet,” tells Jarrod.
Thankfully, there isn’t long to wait until all is revealed!
