Earlier today it was confirmed that David Schwimmer, AKA Ross Geller from Friends, would be joining the cast of Will & Grace for the revival’s second season.
The actor is joining the already-impressive main cast of Debra Messing (Grace Adler), Eric McCormack (Will Truman), Megan Mullally (Karen Walker) and Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland).
Over the years the series also boasted a number of big-name actors in recurring roles, including Alec Baldwin (Malcolm Widmark), Debbie Reynolds (Bobbi Adler), Leslie Jordan (Beverley Leslie), Bobby Cannavale (Vince D’Angelo) and Harry Connick Jr. (Leo Markus).
In honour of Schwimmer joining the cast, we’re taking a look back at some of the very best celebrity cameos in the nine seasons of Will & Grace.

Cher made two cameos in Will & Grace, playing herself both times. Her most memorable cameo, however, came in season three, when Jack mistook her for a drag queen impersonating Cher. How did she respond? She slapped him!

Candice stars as herself in the episode, where she is one of Karen’s “best friends/enemies.” The pair play pranks on each other throughout the evening, as they dine in the same restaurant. Just like Cher, Kevin makes two appearances as himself in the hit sitcom. In 2002, Jack became Kevin’s assistant, while also doubling as Kevin’s stalker.
After mistaking Will for his stalker, Kevin and Will dance to the Footloose soundtrack in his living room. Upon discovering the pair, Jack confesses and is swiftly fired.

Madonna plays an eccentric gal named Liz, who Karen moves in with in an attempt to have more ‘real life’ experiences. After fighting over the same guy in a bar, Liz tries to evict Karen. It is revealed the building they are living in is actually owned by Stan’s company Walker Property Management… and Karen has Liz evicted.
