Despite not receiving a rose on tonight’s episode of The Bachelor Australia, Akoulina harbours no hard feelings towards Matty J.
“It wasn’t meant to be,” she says. “It was out of my control.”
The ribbon-twirling gymnast is adamant that she “enjoyed every second” of her time on the series.
“It was a once in a lifetime experience and I made the best of every moment,” Akoulina says.
However, there was one moment that really stood out as a highlight for the 29-year-old.
“Catching a piglet!” she says. “Not something you can usually say you have done so I can tick that off my bucket list.”
Thought if she had her time again, she would have taken a slightly different approach.
“I wouldn’t have been so open,” she admits.
“I was thinking it was like speed dating, where every moment you get you make the most of it. I opened up too quickly – but I was being honest and being me.”
According to Akoulina, Lisa may already have Matty’s heart.
“She made quite an impression on him,” she explains.
“She is quite mysterious and I think they are a good match.”
While we’ve seen a lot of cattiness between the girls on the show, Akoulina came away with positive experiences and plenty of new friends.
“Everyone is quite good and respectful and we get along really well,” she says.
“The other girls are really lovely. Beautiful genuine souls so I’m really happy to meet some good friends.”
