Lola and Chelsea never imagined things would get so personal.
But in Wanted’s second season, with much more at stake than their own freedom, the Thelma and Louise duo made a beeline for Bangkok to save Lola’s (Rebecca Gibney) son David (Charles Cottier) from evil crim Kel Morrison (Anthony Phelan).
Next, they absconded to New Zealand to work out how they ended up on the run in the first place. Turning the tables on the authorities, Lola and Chelsea (Geraldine Hakewill) became the hunters instead of the hunted.
That is, until Lola found herself staring down the barrel of Morrison’s gun. She thought it was game over – until Chelsea shot him dead before he could pull the trigger.
Thankfully, they were able to bury the body before the cops arrived. Now, in the dramatic two-part season three premiere, the ladies are back home but stuck in jail, awaiting charges.
Lola (Rebecca Gibney) and Chelsea (Geraldine Hakewill) are back for Season Three of Wanted.
All they have to do is stay quiet about Morrison’s whereabouts so they can start their lives over. But when the investigators discover his car, it doesn’t look promising.
Behind bars, deals are struck that will either help or hinder Lola and Chelsea’s chances of freedom.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also has to grapple with the legacy of her family’s past. And, when witness protection can’t even guarantee their safety, it looks like they’ll be forced to go on the run – again.
Adding to their woes, corrupt cop Karl Brady (Rob Carlton) is keen to get his hands on Morrison’s dirty cash. He suspects the ladies know where that money is. Karl is just one of many people chasing Lola and Chelsea.

So she strikes a bargain with Lola – and Maxine – to achieve her ends. But she could also sell them both out at any point. “She will do anything for her daughter,” Kerry, 52, explains.

A junior detective who’s been partnered with Maxine, Hamish (right) hears the gossip about his superior’s dodgy dealings. He tries to turn a blind eye, but struggles to give her the benefit of the doubt following a string of erratic decisions. Will he risk his career to end Maxine’s?

Lance is Sophie’s deadbeat boyfriend who claims he hasn’t seen her in months. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, his scheme to make a quick buck from the backpackers who pass through his pub falls apart when Sophie hijacks his plan. “Playing a baddie is always fun, but it’s also working out the genesis of how he became bad,” Michael says.
