The first season of This Is Us was an emotional roller coaster!
We left the Pearson family on a cliffhanger at the end of last season.
Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) got into a screaming match after Jack got drunk and got into a brawl with Ben (Sam Trammell) which resulted in the cancellation of Rebecca’s tour.
Rebecca was understandably annoyed and the couple got locked in a massive fight, which ended with Jack leaving the house.
We were left with so many questions at the end of season one!
Will Jack and Rebecca get back together? When does Rebecca shack up with Miguel?
Is Jack alive when Rebecca and Miguel get together? WE NEED ANSWERS.
Thankfully, the flawed Pearson family is back for a second season which is set to be just as shocking and heartfelt.
Here’s what you need to know before it returns Channel 10 tonight.
1. The season two premiere takes place on the triplets – Kate (Chrissy Metz), Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Kevin (Justin Hartley) – 37th birthday but they are not together this time around!
2. The first episode features a HUGE piece of the puzzle regarding how Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) died.
3. You won’t know exactly how Jack died in the very first episode but it will be revealed later in the season!
4. Randall’s biological father William (Ron Cephas Jones) will feature in season two, even though his character passed away at the end of season one.
He will feature in a variety of flashbacks, much like Jack does.
5. Randall considers adopting a third child and turns to his mother Rebecca (Mandy Moore) for advice.
6. That ’70s Show star Debra Jo Rupp (second from the left at the front) will pop up during the second season, playing a social worker who meets with Randall and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) about the possibility of adoption.
7. Sylvester Stallone will make a cameo!
He will be starring in the Ron Howard movie that Kevin is a part of.
8. You’ll be seeing a lot more of the actors who play the young Pearson triplets as the three actors have been signed as series regulars.
9. Rebecca’s second husband Miguel (Jon Huertas) will be more involved in the second series and you’ll learn much more about him.
10. The season picks up the day after Rebecca and Jack’s fight.
11. When the actors received their scripts for season two, one scene was missing.
This is because the surprise is so big that the writers didn’t want any chance of it being leaked!
12. Kate and Toby will get to know each other more before heading to the altar, which may happen later in the season.
13. Season two is not the last season of This Is Us.
In fact, the show has already been renewed for a third season!
