It’s the right time for The Wrong Girl to return.
The second season of the series will kick off on tonight at 8:40pm on Network Ten.
Based on the novel by Zoë Foster Blake, season one of The Wrong Girl followed the life of 29-year-old producer Lily Woodard (Jessica Marias) who developed a crippling crush on the celebrity chef on her TV show, Jack (Rob Collins).
Lilly’s life was chaotic. Her roommate Simone (Hayley Magnus) was constantly partying and her best friend Pete (Ian Meadow) had an unplanned baby with his very new girlfriend.
Season two of the series is set to pick up six months after season one. Lily and Jack have been living in New Zealand together. But Lily makes the decision to return to Melbourne in order to try and save her old show, The Breakfast Bar, from cancellation.
The cast of The Wrong Girl cleaned up at the TV WEEK Logie Awards this year with Jessica Marais winning Best Actress, and Rob Collins taking home the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer.
Jess and Rob are both back for season two along with Ian Meadows, Hayley Magnus, Craig McLachlan, Madeleine West, Steve Vizard and Kerry Armstrong.
Earlier this year it was also announced that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia star Natalie Bassingthwaighte will be joining the show.

“I’m so excited to be back filming the second series of The Wrong Girl,” Jessica Marais says. “We are joined by some incredibly talented new faces and our favourites from series one. We have the most fantastic cast and crew and I look forward to bringing the colourful and charismatic Lily to life.”
