Fans were left utterly shocked when personal trainer Carl told The Last Resort experts that he doesn’t feel guilty for cheating on his wife while she was busy looking after the kids.
And now, the couple, who signed up for the show in hopes to get their relationship back on track, are hitting back at those who dare judge them.
“Of course people will judge and be negative,” Lucy, 38, says.
“But majority of couples have issues within their own relationships.”
Luckily though, the couple have the support of their family and friends.
“Our families were supportive and helped us with looking after our children while we were away,” Lucy says.
“Friends were hesitant and still are about how we will be portrayed.”
Meanwhile, young mum Sharday, who lied about Josh being the father of their two-and-a-half year old daughter Tyla also has some harsh words for her critics after tonight’s explosive episode.
“I am a very open and honest person so what people see is what they get,” the 27-year-old says.
“I was willing to share our story and struggles to the world in the hope some people may learn from our many mistakes. I went into this with nothing to lose because Josh and I were already separated.”
And Josh, 25, couldn’t agree more.
“I am not worried,” he says of having his private life played out on national TV.
“When we came into this we knew what we were getting ourselves into and made an agreement that no matter what people say about us or our lives, we will talk with the other person and support them. We also have an extremely tight group of friends that we have made throughout this process and without a doubt will support each other throughout the next six months.”
