This season Blake (Craig McLachlan) and Jean (Nadine Garnerwill) face more challenges than ever before. They’ll be confronted by murder and mayhem at every turn – from the boxing ring to a new French bistro, to an exotic camp of travelling Romani gypsies and even at the local Debutante Ball.

Dr Blake has a tough season ahead.

We can expect to see loyalties tested, friendships strained and faiths challenged. Doctor Blake is ready to solve a series of strange murders and shocking crimes, but he’s about to discover that each and every one of his actions has consequences – and things won’t always go according to plan.

Having already gone through so much together, will Jean and Blake find the happiness they deserve? Are they strong enough to survive the mysteries that come their way?

In March this year it was announced that season five of the The Dr Blake Mysteries would be the show’s last full series, followed by a movie length season finale. Filming for the telemovie is already underway.

Fans and cast members of the show have expressed their disappointment in their decision to cancel the high rating series.

At the time, Craig McLachlan took to social media to share his thoughts on the series coming to an end.

The show is also incredibly popular overseas and is currently available in over 132 international territories.
