The role has been portrayed by Winsor Harmon (above) since 1996, but actor Ingo Rademacher, 46, will be stepping into the Forrester son’s shoes.

Ingo has previously had a reoccurring role on Hawaii Five-O and soap opera General Hospital.

He will appear on our screens as Thorne towards the end of this year.

Ingo has revealed that he is nervous to fill Winsor’s shoes, as fans were unhappy to hear that the role was being replaced.

“You can’t try to be someone else, but I certainly hope to play Thorne as well as Winsor did,” Ingo told TV Insider.

“He’s really one of the nicest and most gracious people I’ve ever met. He tweeted over this past weekend that his role was being recast and I read the comments and a lot of people weren’t happy.”

Ingo added that the fans comments made him rethink his new role.

“There was a lot of support for Winsor, and rightly so. I said to my wife, “Wow, I feel kind of bad about this.” I mean, I know it’s the way things go in daytime, but this is a new experience for me. I’ve never stepped into a role that was previously played by someone else. I hope the fans aren’t too upset about this.”

Winsor Harmon, with co-star Katherine Kelly Lang, has played Thorne Forrester for over 20 years.

Winsor isn’t the only actor departing The Bold And The Beautiful at the moment.

Pierson Fode, who plays Thomas Forrester, recently announced that he was leaving the soap in order to pursue other projects.
