Cobie Frost, AKA the sweetest Bachelor contestant ever, was sent packing after her date with Matty J on Wednesday’s episode of The Bachelor Australia. But despite being so close to hometown dates, the 30-year-old miner said she was ready to go.

“I feel like a weight was lifted off my shoulders when I got eliminated,” she told TV WEEK. “I’m excited because I still get to watch everyone else and their journey unfold. It’s bittersweet, it was my time.”

One of the cutest first-meets ever.

Cobie, who had six weeks between her two single dates, was surprised she made it as far as she did.

“I could see the relationship he had with the top four and I knew our relationship wasn’t as strong as theirs,” she says.

When asked why she felt ready to leave, she confessed she had given up on trying to win Matty’s heart.

“I think I just gave up,” she admits. “I was tired of fighting for this guy’s time and not getting it. You kind of get beaten up about it … it’s very disheartening. On a friendship level, it was amazing, but anything more, we didn’t see eye to eye.

“I kinda thought I was going to go the week before, but I didn’t. I thought that after opening up on that group date and not getting the time, he was definitely going to send me home.”

By that point, she already had one foot out the door.

“I was so ready to go home and chill out with my family,” she says. “It was the best thing that could have ever happened.”

A compatibility test for Wednesday night’s group date cemented Cobie’s feelings that her and Matty weren’t really on the same page.

“[We’re] so not compatible,” Cobie laughs.

She confesses she wasn’t going to fake her way into getting closer to him.

“I’m like, ‘why does it always have to be about Matty?’ We’ve both got to align here, I’m not going to pretend I have the same values as him. That would defeat the purpose and I want to win on my own merit.”

So, who does she think will win? “Maybe Flo or Elise,” she tells us.

While Cobie confirms she wouldn’t put her hand up to be the next Bachelorette, she’d be up for another round of The Bachelor.

“I’d definitely go on The Bachelor again, now that I know what to expect. If I went on it again, I’d have a different approach to it.”

We’d love to see you back on the show, Cobie!
