He won over Sophie Monk with his magic tricks and undeniable charm on The Bachelorette Australia. But Apollo Jackson says he’s not quite ready to declare he’s in love with the Bachelorette.
“I can definitely see myself falling in love with Sophie,” the 24-year-old says.
Apollo is 13 years Sophie’s junior. And while he says he’s dated older women in the past, their age gap has played a big part in their conversations.
“Normally, I’d only date women three or five years older,” he says.
“We’ve had a few talks about our age difference, but I really don’t see it as an issue.”
Apollo points to the successful marriage of actors Hugh Jackman, 49, and Deborra-lee Furness, 61, as an example.
He says he and Sophie’s emotional and intellectual likeness outweighs the age gap.
“It comes down to maturity,” he says. “If you’re on the same page, age doesn’t matter.”
He previously told NW: “I’ve always thought of love not having boundaries.”
So, what does Sophie think about having a life with a young gun like Apollo (who was the Hulk’s body double in the new Thor: Ragnorak movie, by the way)?
“It would be a very non-dramatic relationship. He’s more mature than any of the guys in the house,” she says.
Apollo is up against publican Stu Laundy, 44, and vineyard manager, Jarrod Woodgate, 31, in the race to win the Bardot singer’s heart – but who will come out on top?
Well, we only have two sleeps to find who Sophie will give her final rose to!
