Mending a broken heart is never easy. So we can only imagine how Matty Johnson must have felt after his was crushed on national television.
Fans of The Bachelorette will recall the devastating moment in 2016 when Georgia Love rejected Matty in the reality show’s heart-stopping finale.
The Bachelorette told him she’d found love – but not with him.
However, time really does heal all wounds. The hunky 30-year-old can’t lose the smile as he proudly declares to TV WEEK that he’s finally found the woman of his dreams.
“Yes, I’m very happy,” Matty shares.
He admits it’s been tough to keep his new love’s identity under wraps since filming The Bachelor ended.
“When I came back from filming, my friends wanted to know who I ended up with and what she was like,” he admits.
“You can’t tell them anything, because it will give it away – even down to their hair or job. It’s tricky.
“You want to see that person, but don’t have the luxury of being able to catch up whenever you want, which is frustrating.”
But Matty says the couple do enjoy secret rendezvous away from prying eyes.
“That’s the really nice thing about it,” he says with a cheeky grin, revealing that the loved-up couple are whisked away to undisclosed locations every few weeks.
