Smooching and The Bachelor Australia go together like peanut butter and jelly.
So it’s hard to believe that the thought of Matty J locking lips with more than one woman on his journey to find love comes as a massive surprise for the ladies competing for his heart.
But according to super-sweet Cobie, who scored the second kiss of the series tonight, she had no idea that the hunky 30-year-old had already pashed on with jewellery designer Laura Byrne before her.
“No, I didn’t know, absolutely no idea,” the coal-plant operator reveals.
“It blew me away. It knocked me for six.”
Chatting to TV WEEK, Cobie admits she was shocked when Matty went in for the kill during their single date.
“I definitely wasn’t expecting it. It was a lovely surprise but you do get more invested,” she says, adding she chose not to tell the other girls about their special moment upon returning to the mansion.
“I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or make anyone sad,” Cobie explains.
But not everyone is as thoughtful.
Tonight, a fiery Jen snapped when Cobie pulled Matty J aside at the cocktail party for some more alone time.
“I was a little bit disappointed because I would never do anything to hurt anyone or upset anyone,” the 30-year-old says.
“I was sad because they knew I wanted to speak to him so it took me a long time to get over it because I felt disappointed by the girls because we weren’t empowering each other or looking out for each other.”
