But it seems parents-to-be Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski are already planning a return to reality TV.

Chatting to TV WEEK, the couple, who are expecting their first child together in October, revealed they’d love to be contestants on The Block after watching good mates Josh and Elyse on the show.

“Snez has got a beautiful eye for design and I’m relatively good at renovating,” Sam says, adding he spent quite a bit of time with Elyse during filming of the show.

“The location of their building on this season is quite close to where Snez and I live – it’s three streets away – and it’s also quite close to my gym.

“Knowlzy (Elyse) would pop in sometimes on her breaks and she also does my 28 Program when she’s travelling for work.”

Infact, Sam says Elyse and Snez would often work out together whenever Elyse wasn’t busy on site.

“Obviously with Snez being pregnant they’re at different levels but it worked. Other times Elyse would come down to blow off some steam and do a short, sharp workout.”

Already five week’s into The Block and Sam says he is glad Australia has been able to see a different side to Elyse – someone he considers to be a close friend.

“Knowlzy is obviously an incredibly beautiful woman and a very successful model but The Block shows this whole other side of her that as one of her friends, I already know. She’s so down to earth, she wakeboards and skateboards and camps, she’s not a princess. I think a lot of people will have judged a book by its cover and actually be pleasantly surprised if they continue to watch that she is really like that.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to Josh, it’s safe to say Sam has a bit of a man crush.

“Josh is wizardly talented – he doesn’t say much, he is a man of few words but he is an amazing chippy and his skills are on full display.”

So much so that Sam has already called on Josh to help renovate his ‘man cave.’

“Look, I have had a little chat to Josh and said when that time comes around I might need to engage his services,” Sam laughs.
