2021 is already looking up folks, and itโs got everything to do with a little reboot weโre counting down for.
Yes, after eight whole years since its series finale, iconic Aussie show Packed to The Rafters is making its grand return, and already, weโre getting our first sneak peek of the glorious comeback.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday morning, Rebecca Gibney, who is set to reprise her role as Julie Rafter, shared a new snap of that brilliantly iconic family during filming in 2020.
โIt was such a joy to reunite with this family (with some fantastic new additions),โ Rebecca captioned the picture.
โAnd in a year that brought so much uncertainty โ this was definitely one of my highlights from 2020. Back to the Rafters is coming to Amazon Prime Video in 2021.โ
In the pictures, Rebecca is joined by some old and new faces โ including Erik Thomson, who plays Dave Rafter, along with Hugh Sheridan and Angus McLaren.
But some new faces also grace the set โ Willow Speers, who will play little Ruby Rafter, and Kaspar Frost, who will play Edward Rafter, bring a fresh generation to the legendary show.
The cast photo also gave us another glimpse Jessica Maraisโ replacement, Georgina Haig, who will take over the role as Rachel Rafter.
Willow Speers (pictured centre) will play Dave and Julieโs youngest daughter, Ruby Rafter, in the new series.
(Instagram)Unsurprisingly, Gibneyโs fans lost it at the new images.
โWhen in 2021??!! Canโt wait,โ wrote one.
Another added: โYeah no big deal Iโm just a blubbering fkn mess about this.โ
One overwhelmed fan also wrote: โFirst of all: yโall look AMAZING!! second of all: i am SO excited!!!โ
Bring on the Rafters reboot!
(Instagram)The reunion season has kept fans in high anticipation since it was confirmed to go ahead last year.
Back in May, Erik shared a sweet BTS snap of Rebecca while they filmed the new season, with a teaser caption: โA tiny, sneaky, behind the scenes snap of the legend herself, @rebeccagibney_ . Taken earlier this year pre-Covid working on Back to the Rafters.โ
Of course, production was halted due to the pandemic, but when things started to settle down a little, the cast got back into the swing of things to finish it off.

Erik Thomson shared this sweet pic of Rebecca on set of the Rafters reboot back in May.
(Instagram)The Back To The Rafters reboot series will be set six years after Packed To The Rafters wrapped, and is set to air on Amazon Prime.
While no release date has been set yet, weโll keep our eyes and ears out!
