When Aussie star Rebecca Gibney woke up today to take her dog for a morning stroll, she didn’t expect to end up in a doctor’s office with a foot brace.
The long-time actress has revealed that she actually broke her foot while out with her pooch!
She took to Instagram earlier today to share a photo of herself donning a brace (and she seems to have unintentionally colour-coordinated it all!).
Her caption read: “Well… so this happened. Who knew dog walking could be dangerous!”
The 52-year-old still has her sense of humour in a painful situation though. She hashtagged the post:“#brokenfoot #painkillersaremyfriends #moonboot #onesmallstepforman #guessnostilettosfortheEmmys”
Fans spread their well wishes to the actress, and even well-loved presenter and comedian Rove McManus made a comment on the post. He said: “You’ve accessorised it perfectly!”
We can’t help but agree.
The mother-of-one has graced Australian screens for years and was everyone’s favourite mum as the iconic Julie Rafter on Packed To The Rafters.
Most recently she played the fierce Lola Buckley on Channel Seven’s crime drama, Wanted. The show follows Lola and Geraldine Hakewill’s character Chelsea, both prime suspects for murder, as they try to outrun the police.
Rebecca worked alongside Home And Away’s Stephen Peacocke for the show’s two seasons. A third season is yet to be announced.
We’re wishing Rebecca a speedy recovery!
