Channel Nine has launched a secret campaign to get their flagship presenter Lisa Wilkinson nominated for a Gold Logie in 2018.
According to Confidential, the network has “decided to take matters into their own hands” with a plan to champion the veteran journalist ahead of nominations opening in coming months.
In fact, there’s already a team of people working toward the goal with “magazine cover shoots” and “high-profile partnerships” in the works to boost her chances of taking out the top gong.
“Everyone at Nine is on board to get Lisa the Gold,” a source revealed to the publication.
A separate media insider told The Daily Telegraph.: “Nine’s promotions team have ensured that Lisa is the number one Nine talent in the public eyes during the voting period.”
Lisa, 57, has fronted TODAY for a whopping 10 years without ever having been up for the top award in Australian TV.

Over the weekend, Lisa and her author husband Peter FitzSimons surprised everyone by renewing their vows to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
Rounding up their nearest and dearest friends, the couple rung in a quarter century of wedded bliss by remarrying in an intimate ceremony at the Bathers Pavilion on Sydney’s Balmoral Beach.
Their bridal party was made up of their three grown-up children, sons Jake, 24, and Louis, 22, and daughter Billie, 20.
Lisa stunned in an off-the-shoulder Pallas Couture gown while former Wallabies player Peter, 56, rocked a dapper tux.
In fact, the former magazine editor admits her beautiful dress, which she first wore to the 2015 TV WEEK Logie Awards was the inspiration behind their second wedding.
She told Daily Mail Australia at the time she asked her husband if her frock was too bridal to wear to the Logies.
“And he said: ‘I don’t know what it is but our 25th wedding anniversary is in two years, let’s get married again?'”
“So in two years’ time we are going to go to Vegas and get married again. I have plenty of time to prepare for another wedding. I’ll wear this dress.”
True to their promise, Lisa and Peter said “I do” once again but appeared to ditch the Vegas idea and instead they opted for the very fitting location of Balmoral — where they first tied the knot back in 1992.
