Season five of Orange Is The New Black was set over the course of three days, and saw the inmates seize control of the prison following a riot over the death of Poussey (Samira Wiley).

The series ended on a cliff-hanger as a riot control team blew down the doors of the prison’s bunker, where several inmates stood waiting.

Piper (Taylor Schilling), Alex (Laura Prepon), Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Red (Kate Mulgrew), Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), Black Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore), Frieda (Dale Soules), Suzanne (Uzo Aduba), Blanca (Laura Gómez) and Gloria (Selenis Leyva) were all together in the thrilling final scene.

It appears our favourite characters will be captured and separated in season six, with the show’s new tagline reading: “Bye Bye, Litchfield – It’s a whole new world!”
